Claude Guay is a seasoned leader and entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in digital transformation, business strategy and governance. Former CEO of IBM Canada, he helped strengthen Canada’s position as a world leader in technological innovation. Claude is recognized for his expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and quantum computing. He has worked on the implementation of innovative solutions in various fields throughout the world, including financial services, aerospace, aviation, manufacturing and the public sector.

Claude is also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, particularly in promoting the role of women in technology and business. His commitment to diversity extends beyond the professional sphere, as he has participated in various initiatives supporting visible minorities, women and children, notably through his involvement in non-profit organizations such as the Good Jobs initiative of Inclusive Local Economic Opportunity (ILEO), FIRST Robotics Québec and Scouts Canada.

Claude has demonstrated exceptional community engagement, volunteering on numerous boards and contributing to fundraising efforts for causes that directly impact local communities. He has collaborated with provincial and municipal governments to develop innovation centres, including one in Montréal, and has led programs supporting Indigenous students, such as the Pathway to Technology initiative in Nova Scotia.

Determined to contribute to building a more inclusive, innovative and prosperous Canada, Claude has decided to fully commit to politics. He has joined the Liberal Party of Canada and is running to represent the riding of LaSalle–Émard–Verdun, where he hopes to leverage his expertise and experience to improve the quality of life of citizens and create a fairer economy for all Canadians.

Claude is deeply connected to his community. He lives in Montréal with his wife, Carol Anne Mazerolle, who is of Acadian and Irish descent, and their son, who is currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. They recently welcomed a 10-month-old granddaughter, reinforcing Claude’s commitment to building a better future for generations to come. As a Member of Parliament, he will advocate for the interests of LaSalle–Émard–Verdun in Ottawa and ensure that every family can thrive in a strong and inclusive economy.
